Antarian fleets are twice as fast as the fleets of other races.This is a real great advantage because its nearly impossible to catch them when they are fleeing.However,if you buy Antarian ships for your own race they are only as fast as normal ships.
The Antarians belong to the oldest space faring creatures in the galaxy - they visited the Solarians long before they even invented interplanetary spaceships.However,this doesn't give them any advantages in the campaigns.
